How do I keep my cat from scratching my sofa. She knows that I love not do it because it works when I see it. How to deter your cat from scratching furniture
Question: How do I stop my cat scratching walls?I brought my cat to my dad to live at home with my boyfriend and he scratches all the wallpaper off. we are decorating the living room to a very high level and he has done in there too. How can we stop this? I do not want him to go to another house as it may get abused etc. ..?
Answer: Has he done in the house of your father? Otherwise, it only reacts to his new environment. Cats suffer stress and the wallpaper is a scratching of the least shocking to the show (I will not begin to tell you some of my cats horrors inflicted on me over the years). It is the cat used to having someone sitting for him to sit on,? If yes, then if you're younger you probably do not give this kind of attention. As all sensible suggestions given below (and de-clawing and most obviously facetious comments do not count) I suggest you also provide toys. A ball of aluminum foil screwed up will provide the average cat hours of entertainment - as an empty cardboard box of cereal. The cat entertainment you will also be reduced to hysterical laughter - although do not let the cat knows where it goes from angry. Basically, I think is a) bored b) stressed and c) make a mark on his new territory.

Question: Purina Pro Plan or Science Diet?
I am currently I am feeding my 1 year old chihuahua Pro Plan dog food, but I had a laboratory Science was on the diet. The only thing I remember was on Science Diet, not that smell of the cabin. Any thoughts? We have only had it for two weeks, and it is our first dog inside.
Answer: I have 3 Chihuahuas and 2 of them food natures recipe venison and rice ... this is really for the skin and allergies, good b / c it has no fillers or preservatives and no wheat or corn beef and chicken, the ... some dogs are allergic to. and my other one eats bil-jac, the excellent food, he eats less and it really poops less b / c it's more crap filling as per plan. bil-jac has molasses where it is good for the eyes. You should look for a food, a meat product as the first ingredient, not corn ... that the first and most of the ingredients in most Food is cheaper has dog. Can you should get your dog food from a pet store, such as PETsMART, they help you select a food that is right for your Dog, and it will be a high-quality foods that are better in the long run for your dog.

ANY1 so hopefully if you have an answer on how to build a house for outdoor cat that perhaps can withstand the winter. so far im thinking of elevaing the present house, so the usual snow cover, make a straight and wrapped the microwave with a large amount of insulating material. I have plenty of $ 70 if there is good buy for him. THX. if not I'll have to give it away to the animal shelter.
Answer: the refuge of the kill are wild (wild) United Nations and adoptable cats, go to PetSmart and get a house cat for about 60 $ or better yet, save your money and go to Walmart to get a big box storage Put the lid on it and cut a cat door balnkets etc to fill it with warmth and support in some blocks (on your side) with the lid on it, they will rise if food samples and then put the food on it.the closed in the area, except for 1 hole in the heat seal and keep out the rain, etc., surrounding it with tape to seal out the wind and rain to seep into the edges of the lid. much bigger than a house cat and more robust for the winter. about $ 20 in all!

Answer: It does well there because the races are much shorter. He has a much harder time trying to stay consistent and maintain composure in the long race for the Sprint Cup Series. Scratching Post - Rock Past It
Question: How do I get my spoiled siamese cat to scratch scratching post and not the sofa?My cat keeps scratching the couch but not on handling post! It does not affect the position but she still scratches the sofa. If I put catnip on the post she just SNIFS for a minute or two and it goes away! If I show him that she does not listen. What do - I do to make her scratch the post darn!
Answer: What I do is put the tape on my sofa so that it sticks to my pussy and it becomes negative experiences. I say not to far away and when I see it in the law. A bottle of water too good works as reinforecement negative. I put the post Scratch praise him to the down and around her saying "Good Boy! And give him a treat every time he climbs the pole. Positive reinforcement. One way to convince them to stop scratching as much is to cut the nails regularly. Q: The cat went crazy ... What can be wrong with her?Yesterday when I got home, my cat was acting very strange. I was very nervous to throw .. obtained at any time your pet surprised me .. acted as if he were seeing things that werent .. for example, would look at the ceiling or wall and I jump high and run. Answer: When you say that she was "seeing things" could be possible it has something to do with the eyes. She might be seeing spots or flashes (might be related to a seizure) or she may have trouble seeing that it is frightening. Whatever it is, she should have at least a simple blood test from the vet.

I recently brought home a stray male cat. Not only it does not its litter, it keeps going in the same area / on-site litter. He wet bedding if it does mix as it must. It does not seem to be accustomed to living as clearly either, such as making a mess on his face or airdrops of food in his bowl of food every time he eats. And I also took him water to drink from the toilet rather than the water bowl I left for him. I make sure to provide fresh, ice cold water ---- even make clear he sees me make chilled water for him. Then it would also "paw" of water, such as ensuring that water is really there, before he drinks. How can I train to be clear and direct and carry himself like a cat should?
Answer: Some of them will never cover up their litter. My older will not, probably because it is dominant and wants everyone to know it's there. Corner Cat Litter Cabinet from The Refined Feline
Question: How do I train my cat to stop using its litter box, go outside?We got him from RSPCA are almost one year. He has 7 years and use a litter tray that we had. Recently, for no apparent reason, he started weeing in the corner of the corridor, no where near his tray. We always clean the tank regularly. He has been neutered and we have no other cats. He takes a couple of times a day, alone in the garden or next. He lives in the night
Answer: few things will help: 1) Move the right bedding through the door and then after a week or put it outside and whose clean, and dirt is a nice place to chat shit and not both dirty litter box, 2) remember a cat is quite a nocturnal creature, so try to get a cat flap and leave and come and go as he wants ever, cats are creatures verry indipendance and there is no reason why he should not go outside at night, I know if you never leave out the night before worrying, but your cat will be soooo much happier if you do and after a while you'll wonder how you could kept in the dark as long as you eat at the same time ever day he will always be fed, and it will be very excited about to go out all night to come and go as he pleases for the first week or so youll find hes more then that but it will calm down and it will up a scheme to go forward or back, my cats always come in the morning when im making coffee, 3) to pee in the corner may be a sign of stress and probably means he wants to go pee, good luck

Question: Is this one of the hardest decisions a cat lover will ever have to make?
My eldest cat is an amazing 21 years old and near the end of her life; she has kidney failure and a bad heart. Every day I feel that I must take her to the vet's, to be put to sleep. I think I just hope she will fall asleep, in her favourite spot, and never wake up again and thus take the decision out of my hands. Any advice from cat lovers please?
Wow, I am quite overwhelmed (and in tears) by the kindness of strangers, thank you.Answer: Your decision. Your friend. Your heart. I agree with the respondents that tell you to let her be as long as there is no pain. But I would add dignity and quality of life to this equation as well. My 14 year old cat was responding well to lymphoma treatments, (and in no pain) but eventually his kidneys failed and he became weak and incontinent. His dignity was destroyed-I could see it in his eyes when I had to clean him like a diapered baby. That's when I decided it was time. Your cat will let you know.
If she passes on in her sleep, or when you're not around, praise her life and be happy she was chosen to be taken this way. If you must assist her, consider calling a vet to your home to perform this last service. It's a much less stressful event on an elderly or ailing friend, and easier on you, too. This is what I did for my beloved friend.
Cherish your memories, grieve when you need to, laugh whenever you can, and when you're ready, open your heart and home to another friend... Every animal should be so lucky to have a wonderful home with a person like you...

Answer: I have personal experience with front-plus from my vet. It works wonders. I have a dog with short hair and my sister has a dog with long hair and my sisters dog had fleas soooooooo bad, where he was bleeding from scratches. It is an oil on the back there goes his head. It is GREAT! Not sure with the powder, especially if you have kids in the neighborhood.
