Question: Does anyone else's cat demanding than the garbage you buy?

My cat will only use specific garbage. Even we bought one with the crystals that are supposed to be really good and did not even try. He did not like the texture or something and decided to urinate on the floor. I tried others that liked, but generally horrible ammonia smell and tend to dust all over his face when cleaning the litter box and I hate all the smoke up my nose. Can anyone recommend a litter good? I tried Special Kitty, Tidy Cats, Cat's Pride and crystals. I've tried more than that, but it was not until recently that I started taking the runway what I'm getting. I have to clean the litter box frequently, or it did not bother to use it, so I want to use a good brand. Any ideas?

Answer: It sounds quite like you're trying too many brands. Cats are not so fussy about their litter such as change. It is not uncommon for a cat to suddenly reject a sudden change in litter texture or smell. Find your cat litter has responded positively to most and stick with it. If you must change brands, do it gradually, during the period of a week or two.
