Question: How do I keep one of my cats eat the cat food the other?
I have two great cats. My first cat is extremely obese - 15 lbs. We are doing everything possible to help you lose weight: diet food, vet recommended portion sizes, and exercise. Nothing is working because it is literally sabotage our efforts. She eats the food and at least half of the other (thin) the cat's dinner. In a sense, she is eating for 1 and 1 / 2. How do I teach, train, she only eat from your plate? How to help lose weight for a healthy cat can live life? Thanks so far for all major responses. Just wanted to add a detail that I serve my cat's dry food and never give table scraps:)
Answer: To make suggestions to help you it really helps to know what foods are feeding the cats. Certainly the idea of feeding the cats in a "programming" at different times cut the fat cat from overeating. Www.littlebigcat.com One must go and read the article by Dr. Jean Hovfe's entitled "Feline obesity." There are many articles on cat nutrition too. The information in www.thepetcenter.com also very good. In order to lose weight in a cat needs a high protein diet (60% of healthy meat protein) and minimal carbohydrates. The widely promoted "diet" food for cats have a ** back with increasing carbohydrate and lower protein. Cats need meat protein quality (not the meat product is contaminated, chemicals that - maybe not rat poison and remains a poor and suspect foods for your cat). If this requirement of protein from meat is not satisfied with your cat overeat and become obese while trying to get the nutrition it needs to satisfy his "hunger".
