Question: Can one package of soft claws be used for 2 cats?
I have to kittens and each package has like 40 nails so can it be used for 2 kittens. How many nails do cats have?
Answer: a cat has 18 claws- 5 each on the front, 4 each on the back.
I use Soft Paws, and only put them on the front paws because those are what scratches up furniture. I keep an eye on the back claws, and if they are getting sharp I use a regular human nail clipper to blunt the tip. So that way, a packet of 40 is good for 4 cats, or 2 applications each for two cats.
also, I commend you for opting to use soft Claws, they're a humane alternative to declawing that will also save your furniture

Question: Where can I find a vet that provides Soft Claws or Paws for cats near Los Angeles (Pasadena)?
I can't trim my cat's claws so I can't put them on myself and I need to find a vet that either puts them on or can trim my cats nails for me.
Please help!
Answer: Most all of the people in any vet office are used to trimming a cat's nails. Sometimes they just do it prior to certain medical procedures and sometimes they charge for doing it at your request. A professional groomer certainly knows how to do the trimming and could probably help you with the nail caps too.
You are going to have to be replacing the caps in the future so find someone who will show you how to do it.
