Question: Can anyone recommend a grooming tool for a malting Labrador dog?

I have been using a large slicker brush, and have also tried a curry comb, although these get a lot of hair out there is still loads coming off the dog after grooming, can anyone tell me of a product that will get right into the fir, it is particuarly bad on the shoulder area. Thanks.

Question: What Are The Best Thing I Can Buy For My New Puppy?

Answer: It all really depends on the breed of your puppy when it comes to the best brushes, if the dog ids a long haired breed, get a brush for long haired dogs etc.

Things you will need:
-A crate, I like wire crates best and they cost less. When choosing a size, make sure it will be large enough for the growing puppy to stand up and turn around in.

- Good quality puppy food. Anything you can buy at the grocery store is very low quality. I recommend Orijen, Acana, Taste of the Wild, Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul, Wellness, Innova or Blue Buffalo. You can find these foods at most pet stores. If you only have a petsmart near by, Blue Buffalo is the only food I would recommend buying from them.

- Food and water bowl

- LOTS of chew toys. KONG makes excellent dog toys and have a great line of puppy toys. They are a little more expensive than other brands, but worth it. Nylabone is also a great brand for toys. Make sure all toys are large enough that the puppy cannot swallow them, and never leave a puppy unattended with toys that can be easily torn, broken or swallowed.

- I never recommed using puppy pee pads, I find they hinder house training. Just take puppy out for lots of pee breaks outside(Rule of thumb, for every month old the puppy is, he needs to go out once.) The most important times to take pup outside are after eating, drinking, playtimes, and naps.

- Lots of paper towel and pet stain and odor remover(can be bought at most pet stores) because puppies do have accedents.

- A nice, comfy bed

- Tear free puppy shampoo.

- Bitter Spray chew deterrent(Can be bought at most pet stores)

- Collar and leash

- ID tags
